Grading and Accreditation in Education

Grading in Education Model has been developed based on the factors of Innovativeness, Applicability, Scalability, Sustainability and Social Impact at educational institutions. The model shall allow institutions to make a reliable benchmarking through grading with the similar national and international institutions in other districts, cities, and regions. The objective of the Ranking in Education Model to develop alternative development programs and reports for the development of institutions in addition to benchmarking them with similar national and international institutions. One of the main elements of a sound institutional development and change is the need for change. Therefore, the model aims at grading the educational institutions in reference to objective and international criteria and creating awareness towards making them feel the need. Once the educational institutions see their grade operating in similar and different fields, technical support shall be provided (upon request of the institution) for carrying the institution one level higher. Grading in Education Model is a matrix structure checking the parameters affecting the education-learning processes such as

  • The location of the institution
  • Belief factor
  • Socio-economic and cultural parameters
  • Historical development of the institution
  • Success of students
  • Data obtained from student development tools
  • Feedbacks from families
  • Data from administrators and teachers

in grading the level of educational institutions.

Grading in Education

Model is a score determined through evaluation of the data processed by computers entirely by using the developed software. Software generates institution-specific reports through mathematical formulation of multi-factor parameters. Families, education administrators, teachers and students are always curios about the success level of schools in the education sector. They satisfy their curiosity by comparing schools with similar other schools. Although concepts like comparison and ranking are avoided in education systems that do not involve the comparison of classes, schools, regions and even countries, comparing and grading are very beneficial for some reasons. Peer-to-peer comparisons or grading of students is contradictory to main educational principles. However, grading of schools, regions or countries is one of the important tools for the institutional development. Grading and ranking the schools based on their academic success level in categories like arts and extra-curricular activities will provide an important feedback for the administrators of institutions. Quality level of the generated services can only be determined by comparing with institutions providing similar services.
